10 Phones With The Best Battery Life
Matthew Barrera Great battery life is the best spec in a phone. From the Apple iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy, these smartphones have a ton of battery power.
No matter how wonderful a phone's features are, a great battery life is the biggest spec that most average smartphone users look for when buying a new phone. For people who work long hours outdoors, or don't have access to charging points throughout the day, good battery life becomes a non-negotiable necessity.
Some familiar everyday brands like Apple and Samsung make the cut with much improved batteries, and some specialized phones like Kyocera and Nubia are also producing devices that cater to those who need long-lasting juice on their hardware. These premium and affordable phones need one charge, and they should be good to go for a while.
Asus ROG Phone 5
There are many affordable gaming phones out there, but Asus' ROG Phone 5 is worth the heftier price tag it carries. Boasting a robust 6000 mAh battery, the phone gives users a long-lasting experience on a single charge (from 10-12 hours), even when the owner plays heavier games on it.
Running Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and with a 144Hz AMOLED display, the Asus ROG Phone 5 is smooth to use, and the support for 65W fast charging powers up the battery in no time.
Samsung Galaxy F62
There are many things that Android does that Apple can't, and one of them is providing users with a mid-range phone that has the features and performance of a high-end model. The Samsung Galaxy F62 has a battery of a whopping 7000 mAh, and high RAM and storage options.
A large display is a welcome addition to the Samsung Galaxy F62, and the phone also supports 25W fast charging, which allows users to top up the battery quickly if they're in a rush.
Moto G Power 2022
The newest iteration of the Moto G Power which had a 2021 version as well, the 2022 model scores big on affordability and great battery. With continued Android support, the phone breezily gives its users juice that lasts for days if needed.
The hefty 5,000 mAh battery is fantastic, but has one con: there is no fast charge option. So, unlike other phones, powering up the battery to a 100% charge might take a bit longer.
IPhone 13 Pro
Apple's great major flagship phone has more than just an amazing processor and crystal clear cameras. Even with an adaptive display that changes refresh rates automatically, the battery performs very well and far exceeds previous Apple models because of the A15 Bionic chip.
The MagSafe wireless charging is definitely a pro, but it only charges at 15W. Wired charging goes up slightly to 20W, which is decidedly slower than Android models.
Kyocera DuraForce Ultra 5G UW
This Kyocera phone is made for people who work on construction sites, which means it is as durable as it gets, and also has a battery life worth mentioning. At an impressive 4,500 mAh, it lasts for hours upon hours in between charges on the efficient Snapdragon 765G chipset.
The Kyocera DuraForce Ultra 5G UW does have some drawbacks, the biggest being it is restricted to working on Verizon's Ultra Wideband 5G. However, Verizon users who are looking for a hard-wearing phone may have met their match.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G
The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is a beast of a phone, with specs like an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor, 6 GB RAM, and a 4300 mAh battery. Moreover, it supports 5G, and carries a very affordable price tag.
With almost 12 hours of battery life, the battery also charges extremely quickly (it has OnePlus Warp Charge 30T support) which means usage is almost seamless, even after it runs out.
Samsung Galaxy M51
The highlight of the Galaxy M51 is definitely its massive 7000 mAh battery, even though it does have several other great specs. With moderate use, this phone can last anywhere between 1-3 days, which is an incredible bang for the buck.
With wired charging of 25W, the phone also boasts four great cameras, an octa-core processor, and a price that Samsung loyalists will love and new users would convert to Samsung for.
Nubia RedMagic 6
Mainly great for just gaming, the Nubia RedMagic 6 predictably has great battery life because gaming phones generally tend to. The 4500 mAh battery lasts an impressive 11-13 hours depending on usage, and performs well even if the display refresh rate is set to a faster one.
The biggest advantage of this phone is the very fast 120W charger which powers up the phone to a full charge in under half an hour. But unfortunately, it does not support wireless charging.
IPhone 13 Pro Max
The iPhone has improved vastly over the years, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max's battery is a testament to the same. There was a time when Apple didn't seem to be particularly concerned with a lasting battery life in its phones, but both the 13 Pro models have changed that.
The 4352 mAh battery holds up well even with increased usage, which is supported by the A15 Bionic chip. Plus, the phone conveniently supports wired as well as MagSafe wireless charging.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
A large 5,000 mAh battery and 67W fast charging makes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G a formidable phone. The bright and color-accurate Full HD+ AMOLED display has a high refresh rate, and makes the overall usage a lot better.
With 5G support and super fast charge speeds, this device is definitely worth investing in for people who need a long-lasting battery life on a single quick charge.
