To solve the "three wise beasts" puzzle of Tetsu's Rise, Elden Ring players must scour the island for three ghostly turtles to break the tower's seal.

Tetsu's Rise is a small tower on Sorcerer's Isle in Elden Ring's Liurnia of the Lakes that contains a Memory Stone for those who can solve its puzzle and dispel its magical seal. Tarnished can find this location north of the Raya Lucaria Academy and west of the region's Wandering Mausoleum. However, be wary when approaching the island, as several enemies hanging from balloons within the vicinity await to ambush passersby in Elden Ring.

Once Tarnished arrive on Sorcerer's Isle, they can interact with the pedestal in front of Testu's Rise to begin the puzzle to unlock the barrier. Similar to Oridys's Rise in the Weeping Peninsula, the message reads, "Seek three wise beasts," referring to three turtle spirits that will spawn nearby. Keep in mind that all the ghosts will only appear on Sorcerer's Isle, meaning adventurers do not need to travel far to find them. Furthermore, the "wise beasts" aren't the only creatures that will emerge from the spirit realm. Several zombie-like humanoid phantoms will also spawn into the area. While their movement is sluggishly slow, these creatures can still inflict decent damage if the player gets too close.

The first turtle spirit of Tetsu's Rise is located to the left of the entrance, on the northern side of the island. Starting from the imp's pedestal in Elden Ring, head north to the small cliffside to discover the "wise beast" sitting in plain sight near the ledge.

How To Enter Tetsu's Rise In Elden Ring

Next, the second turtle is rather tricky to find. From where the first spirit was found, walk southeast into the woods behind the tower. Despite being a turtle, the ghostly creature will be hanging from the back of a tree and can only be seen by looking up from the player's perspective. For better clarification, go to the back of Tetsu's Rise and glance up, searching for the entrance to a staircase above. Line up with the direction the entryway is facing and examine the trunks of the trees within the area. The turtle will be hanging on the second-left tree.

To find the third "wise beast" of Testu's Rise in Elden Ring, travel to the southwest of the tower, towards the rocky outcropping near the shore. Be mindful of the group of enemies nearby, either avoiding or killing them. Tarnished may notice one lone ghostly mob sitting atop a large boulder. Go behind the monster and look down while facing the northeast. The third turtle will be hiding down below near the cliffside. Once all the turtles have been taken care of, the tower's seal will break, and Tarnished can ascend Testu's Rise to obtain the Memory Stone.
