Warning: SPOILERS for My Hero Academia's Season 6 episode #133Episode #133 of the My Hero Academia anime sees the debut of Lady Nagant, a fan-favorite hero-turned-villain with a tragic backstory. Lady Nagant's battle against Deku was a highlight of the manga, and it looks like the anime will make it even more incredible.
In the My Hero Academia anime, Izuku Midoriya (Deku) has become a lone vigilante in order to draw out All For One and Shigaraki, while keeping his friends of U.A. High safe from the villains. Deku's plan (concocted along with All Might, Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist) seems to come to fruition in episode #133, "Hired Gun", when he is ambushed by Lady Nagant, a former Pro Hero who is one of the escaped inmates of Tartarus Prison. Lady Nagant's Quirk, Rifle, makes her a terrific sniper, and she tries to bring Deku down in a deadly long-range battle.

Lady Nagant Is Even More Impressive In The Anime
Kaina Tsutsumi was once a bright young lady who dreamed of becoming a great Pro Hero. Seeing the potential of her abilities, the Hero Public Safety Commission recruited Kaina with the promise of making her a great hero. However, the Commission actually used Kaina for classified missions, such as secretly killing Villains planning to commit acts of terrorism and corrupt Heroes. At first, Kaina followed her orders with ruthless efficiency, but soon Lady Nagant grew disillusioned with the hero society and ended up killing her superior when he threatened her. After the Tartarus breakout, Lady Nagant was recruited to hunt and capture Deku by All For One, who also "gifted" her with a second Quirk, Air Walk.
The battle between Deku and Lady Nagant is pretty unique in the series. The assassin is a long-range fighter, and her abilities allow her to shoot at Midoriya from one kilometer away. This forces Deku to use the new powers of One For All he recently awakened to close the distance without getting hit by Nagant's deadly bullets. The setting of the battle is also perfect, as it takes place during a rainy night among the tall buildings of a nearly-deserted city. This unique, dark atmosphere and the gritty tone of the fight are perfectly rendered in the anime, with Studio BONES once again delivering a product of the highest quality.
Despite her dark past and her declared hatred for heroes, Lady Nagant is actually a complex and layered character, which, along with her unique Quirk, made her a very popular character among fans. Her debut in the anime was one of the most awaited moments in the current Dark Hero Arc and, surely enough, it did not disappoint. Fans of My Hero Academia can look forward to the upcoming episodes of the anime that will showcase the tragic battle between Deku and Lady Nagant.
