A new Collection Challenge requires Pokémon GO players to capture different Pumpkaboo. There are four different versions of Pumpkaboo to catch.

Pumpkaboo and its own Collection Challenge have been added to Pokemon Go. Currently, the game is hosting its own Halloween event. From October 22nd to October 31st, players are able to participate. Outside of introducing Pumpkaboo, the Pokemon Go Halloween event adds new Costumed Pikachu and other popular costumed Pokemon. Not only that but a new mainline Special Research has been added with the 'What Lies Beneath the Mask' tasks. While this Special Research will remain in the game long after the Halloween event is over, there is an active Collection Challenge where players need to find different versions of Pumpkaboo.

Collection Challenges were added to Pokemon Go earlier this year, and task the player with finding a setlist of Pokemon for a limited time. If players are able to accomplish this goal, they will be rewarded with items like Berries or Candy. The real prize is the Collection Challenge medal. After every challenge that the player clears, this medal will be updated. It continues to grow with every completed challenge. Although this time around, players are tasked with finding four different versions of the same Pokemon. It's common for Pokemon games to have differences between versions, but the only thing that separates Pumpkaboo is the size. It can be difficult to determine the size difference by just glancing.

There are four possible sizes for Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist, its evolution. These are the ranges.

• Small Pumpkaboo.
• Average Pumpkaboo.
• Large Pumpkaboo.
• Super Size Pumpkaboo.

Players will need to capture all four of them for the challenge to be completed.

Completing The Pumpkaboo Collection Challenge in Pokemon Go

It might be difficult to determine which size is which by looking at the overworld. The best thing to do would be to get as many Pumpkaboo to spawn as possible. Since this is a Halloween event and its debut, Pumpaboo has its spawn rate drastically increased. It is completely random which version of Pumpkaboo will make an appearance. Players can increase the spawn rate by activating a Lure Module.

Players can place this item on a PokeStop to get more Pokemon to spawn in that area. Alternatively, players can also use an Incense to increase the spawn rate of all Pokemon for only that player. Currently, Pokemon Go's Season of Mischief event is increasing the Incense item's effectiveness while standing still and while walking. Players will just need to capture as many Pumpkaboo as possible. Try to capture using a Pinap Berry as well. This will double the candy players can earn at the end of the encounter. Since Pumpkaboo needs 200 Candy to evolve, capture as many as possible.
