Most of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills women are iconic thanks to the drama that they bring, but some fans believe that Carlton Gebbia was one of the worst housewives ever to be cast. It was hard for viewers to forget the former RHOBH costar and her extremely spiritual side. She departed the show after one season, but has left quite a legacy behind.
Throughout her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Carlton often spoke out on her Wiccan faith. The witchy woman shared with the women that she grew up with her Pagan grandmother as her idol. Carlton revealed to followers that while she never joined a Wiccan coven, she did embrace some of the faith's teachings, including choosing celestial names for her children. Carlton was a one-hit-wonder on the series. She was joined by Joyce Giraud, who is a CEO and mom. The original cast members did not accept Carlton right away, as she butted heads with Kyle Richards.
The Halloween Kills actress Kyle was open with Bravo cameras about being scared of Carlton because she dabbled in the dark arts. Viewers also found Carlton's alternative lifestyle a bit hard to swallow. Kyle convinced herself and the viewers that Carlton had put a hex on her after having her friend kill an innocent bee. At one point, when Carlton was showing off her new back tattoo, Kyle accused her of imprinting the Star of David on her body. There was no doubt that Carlton was spooky in her own way, but for Kyle, the straw that broke the camel's back was when her computer screensaver changed from a family photo to the word "bigot." To this day, no one knows if Carlton from RHOBH was behind the incident, but it landed the one-season wonder in the most disliked category.
Carlton's ostentatious lifestyle didn't wow Bravo viewers. Even the mother of three's crazy "sex pool party" did nothing to win her ratings. While there were stripper poles and naked women everywhere, most viewers felt that she was trying too hard to make a name for herself. Carlton, like numerous other housewives, also shared that she had a sex dungeon to play in. Carlton's liberated mentality wasn't the problem for fans; it was the fact that she seemed to be trying to push a rock star life extremely hard.
Without a doubt, the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills does not miss RHOBH's Carlton being in the lineup. In 2016, after leaving the show, Carlton divorced her husband, David Gebbia. In 2017, Carlton was sued by her former maid for allegedly attacking her. Most importantly, Carlton is still a practicing Wiccan who enjoys posting educational material for her followers.
