Crafter’s Companion is celebrating the success of its first charity Christmas decoration campaign with a £5,428 donation to the Bradley Lowery Foundation.
The purple stocking decoration, which was branded with Crafter’s Companion’s logo and filled with crafty tools and essentials, went on sale in November last year. For every decoration sold, £1.75 of the £5.99 retail price was donated to the children’s charity.
In addition to selling the decoration across its multiple ecommerce platforms, Crafter’s Companion organised a charity raffle to encourage further fundraising.
Since it was established, the Bradley Lowery Foundation has raised more than £3million for dozens of poorly children across the UK; established a dedicated support line for the families of children with cancer; donated over £200k to researching childhood cancers and campaigned for new drugs to be introduced in the UK. It is currently developing plans to build a holiday home for poorly children and their families in Scarborough.
Sara Davies MBE, a patron of the Bradley Lowery Foundation, said: “Last year, we had a lot of fundraisers planned for the foundation that weren’t able to go ahead because of the pandemic.
“We were thrilled that we were still able to release our first-ever charity decoration and I am so grateful to everyone who supported the campaign. The help that the Bradley Lowery Foundation offers to poorly children and their families is priceless, and Gemma continues to amaze me for the work she does in Bradley’s memory.”
Gemma Lowery, CEO and founder of the Bradley Lowery Foundation said: “We are so grateful to Sara and the team at Crafter’s Companion for their hard work and ongoing support.
“The past twelve months have been tough for charities everywhere, with the pandemic causing widespread cancellation of events, so this contribution is even more important in ensuring we can continue our work supporting families nationwide.”
