At CCGlobal, we are committed to the many communities in which we live and work. For us, that means having a lasting, positive social and economic influence.
Therefore, we are constantly assessing our business values and practices to ensure they reflect the developments we make as an organisation, our employees and our communities.
We strive to maintain a sustainable approach in the way we conduct business, while minimising our environmental impact wherever possible.
The Bradley Lowery Foundation has been our Charity of the Year since 2020. It was established by Gemma Lowery in August 2017, after her six-year-old son Bradley Lowery lost his fight to Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer.
Since it was founded, the Foundation has raised more than £3m for dozens of poorly children, established a dedicated support line for the families of children with cancer, donated more than £200K to researching childhood cancers and campaigned for new drugs to be introduced in the UK.
Members of the ESOL (English Speaking of Other Languages) project at St Peter’s Church in Stockton, England turned their hand to craft to create a quilt with a group of 14 refugees and volunteers from more than 10 countries.
Each person created a patchwork square to represent their personal story and journey, resulting in a meaningful and beautiful community quilt.
We were honoured to host members of the group for an appearance on Crafter’s TV and hear how crafting brought a community of refugees and asylum seekers together.
We sponsored ‘Crafternoon’ sessions with the group and were delighted to see our products used to produce some wonderful creations. We can’t wait to see the group’s next make!
We support a number of local schools and sports teams, in addition to other charitable causes.
These have included raising more than £5,000 for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity by completing the Great North Run, sponsoring Tudhoe Cricket Club and Spennymoor Town FC, supporting Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas and collecting more than £4,000 for Children In Need.
